Killhare Hero Review:
Overall Killhare has a balanced stat distribution. Not too high on attack or defense.
Therefore at 300% damage to all enemy, the damage output would be about 500-700 damage, not taking talents into consideration – that amount of damage is quite significant.
The next question is – is the damage worth the drawback of 20% defense reduction? We analyse these further down in the post
There are 2 heroes that you can pair Killhare with – Guardian Gazelle and Guardian Chameleon. Both of the guardians have specials that are able to dispel “cannot be dispelled” effects.
Killhare in Offensive raids
In offensive raids, the downside of Killhare’s special can be mitigated by choosing when you activate it. You will want to time Killhare special to be activated after your opponents have unleashed their specials (so that you receive lesser damage). Or you can also choose to activate Killhare’s special to take out certain enemies before they are able to activate their special.
Overall, Killhare can be used in a offensive raid paired together with heroes like Vela, Gravemaker, Alasie, Guardian Panther, Kunchen etc. Heroes that are able to soften your opponents before activation of Killhare’s special for maximum damage.

Killhare in Defense
In defense, it becomes harder to properly fix a defense team with Killhare in the mix.
Ideally, you will want heroes that are able to soften your opponents (Gravemaker, Jean-Francois, Vela) significantly, and for Killhare to take the kill. (Killhare kills!)
In such situations, Killhare would fit into a Flank/Wing positions.
Killhare can also be placed together with snipers in the flanks/wings to take advantage of the widespread damage to allow your snipers to get guaranteed kills on their specials. In such a case, you will want to go the attack talents on Killhare.

Killhare against Titans
Should you choose to use Killhare against titans, it will be because you have emblemed killhare significantly for the attack stat boost (for tile damage). Not for her special skill.
In most titan fights, her special skill would be detrimental to your team and you may even consider not activating Killhare’s special skill at all throughout the titan fight.

you forgot a HUGE part of the offensive side…. if you pair up killhare with someone like grazul who prevent the status effect you have someone who deals damage like quintus but is NOT slow
Yea… but you need to have Grazul.. Who is a not too great healer.. =/
Also aeron or gato(why anyone would raid with a 3* Is something someone else Will have to worry about!)
Any Hero Who prevents status aliment works
I have grazul and killhare but what is the adventage of it. It is still minus 20 or not ?
It means that if you activate Grazul’s special first before Killhare’s special. Your team will not be affected by the minus 20 defense debuff.
What if you pair Killhare with Jean Francoise – does his def-down repellant work to counter Killhares side effect and give your team a 42% def up instead?
Hey Baron, that is a good idea. Yes it will work as you have described!
So if you pair her with JF then her grade will probably be A++
Its definitely a big boost to pair with JF, but keep in mind strategic firing of heroes is much easier on paper than in use. USUALLY firing JF right before Killhare wont be a huge issue because JF is fast vs Killhare being average, but as with all things in this game, the tiles you get control who you can shoot and when.
While it becomes a huge boost if you can do it, its not something you should count on as unstoppable. I have 2 leveled Jean Franc’s and a Killhare. Id say 75 or 80% of the time I fire JF, I can fire Killhare within 3 turns and gain the big boost on the 1st shot. 2nd shot of JF is less likely only because by the time you fire twice, the enemy heroes that are still alive are now shooting back and you no longer have the luxury of shooting tiles carefully to charge a specific color vs having to take out enemy heroes that are preparing to shoot a special.
Its a big boost when you can get it, but its not something I would say makes Killhare an A+. The Average speed and the -20 defense if you dont happen to get JF to fire in the proper time frame still sets up a fair amount of danger for your entire team.
A rating is probably where I would rank Killhare ESPECIALLY if you have a Guardian or JF, and without them, possibly closer to A- or a B+.
Still a really strong hero, with the potential to be a real brute when you get the JF boost, but we cant assume that that potential (When paired JF and he fires immediately before) will always be capitalized on.
If you pair with Magni his defense boost should negate the effect in 3 hero’s. A lot of people have him. I’m currently working on mine. And I just pulled killhare. I was in need of a new good dark hero. So the timing is perfect.
Hey Jeremy, it does not override the defense debuff casted by Killhare. “This effect cannot be dispelled”
I just confirmed this with Kiril, Magni, and Vivica. Their defense up doesn’t activate on heroes affected by Killhare.
What about pairing with jean francois and malosi?
I just pulled a Killhare and I have Jean Francois as well. If you fire off Jean Francois first and then fire off Killhare, it boosts the defense of everyone but Killhare by 42% (not dispelled, but changed). If you fire off Killhare first, the 20% decrease in defense is not dispelled and remains in effect after Jean Francois fires. I have Master Lepus as well….same impact. Jean Francois is perfect for your Springdale hero’s. 🙂
I just wanted to mention that Kunchen and Malosi have a innate ability that prevents Defense down, so if paired with Killhare, they would ignore the negative part of her special.
