Cobalt Hero Review:
Review on 1x Mana Charge:
A fast hero with a level 29 mana troop is able to deal 500% damage with 7 tiles. Cobalt does 290% with 5 tiles.
The amount of damage is slightly weaker, and the secondary effect is quite negligible.
Review on 2x Mana Charge:
This is where Cobalt starts to get really strong. Most average speed (10 tiles) special skills only deal 270%*3 damage, whereas cobalt does 325% *3 damage.
This damage is quite significant considering that Cobalt has above average attack stats.
Review on 3x Mana Charge
390% damage with 15 tiles require to all 5 heroes is a lot of damage, there is literally no other special skill that can deal as much damage as this. even when taking into consideration the long charge time.
Cobalt in Offensive raids
During attacks, I would expect that the most commonly used charge will be the 2x charge. This is because 3x charge takes too long. The battle might already be over by the time that is ready, and the 1x charge is too insignificant.
In attacks, you generally want to take out opposing heroes that are about to activate their specials and the 2x charge provides the right amount of time and damage to do so.

Cobalt in Defense
As mentioned earlier, you typically want Cobalt to always activate his special skill on the 2x charge.
Because of the way the AI triggers Mana speed: Charge skills – which is random, Cobalt is pretty much too unreliable in any spot on the defence team.
