Odin Hero Review:
There are a total of 35 shields on the board.
Maximum damage (244%) requires 8 Holy shields.
Maximum mana generation increase (28%) requires 10 Holy shields.
Assuming that tiles are fully randomized (i.e. 20% chance for each element), then the most common scenario when Odin is activated is for 5-8 holy tiles to be on the board. This allows for a 18% to 24% mana generation increase & 190% to 244% damage.
For the purpose of the review – we will take reference to these stats as the most common scenarios.
Based on the probability calculator, can assume that a range of 6-8 tiles will be our most common scenario.
To properly examine the effects of the mana generation increase, we will need to take a look at how mana generation affects mana speed.
The average scenario would allow for Odin to make significant impact (still) to the activation time of your other heroes’s special skill
Mana troop gives 15% additional Mana generation.
Therefore, the maximum mana generation that is possible with Odin nad level 29 mana troop is 43%
Odin in Offensive raids
The most important aspect of using Odin is the timing of Odin’s special skill.
Ideally you will want to ensure that activating Odin’s special skill will allow the rest of your heroes to be able to hit their mana generation breakpoints, after taking into consideration talents and troop bonuses.
A well timed activation of Odin’s special can have significant impact on the battlefield.

Odin in Defense
Odin is slightly weaker on the defending team as the defender cannot control when Odin activates his special skill. Odin’s special skill can also be played around with by ensuring that there are as little yellow tiles as possible on the field.
That being said, it is statistically difficult for there to be less than 5 holy shields on the board.
A decent activation of Odin’s special will allow the rest of the heroes on your team to charge up their special skills much more quickly, and can be game changing.

Odin against Titans
Increase mana generation vs titan is relatively insignificant, the most important aspect vs titans is attack buffs and defense debuffs.
This makes Odin also a tile damage hero.

Curios for your opinion. I have Mother North, Santa and Krampus. Would Odin be good on a flank or at tank with these three to boost their slow mana speeds? Curious if would put him with the three Christmas 5 stars. To round out the rainbow team I was thinking Freya, but would love to hear what heroes you think Odin would work wel with.
Odin is great as flank/tank, i think having freya is definitely worth a consideration.
Santa, Krampus, Odin, Freya, these heroes are great in Flank/Tank
Mother North definitely belongs in the left wing.
Thanks for responding 🙂 really appreciate your site!
