Guardian Gazelle Hero Review:

Another very interesting special skill.

If you are talenting Guardian Gazelle, be sure to always choose the defensive path for her. To minimize her downside of when she dies.

Guardian Gazelle in Offense

Her special can mitigate a lot of damage your team takes, and allows you to take our your opponents at a much faster rate, without the inconsistencies that Miki/Ranvir/Wu Kong/Tarlak has.

In offense, the effect of “Caster dying” is mitigated by a large factor due to the poor targeting by the enemy AI. This reduces the risk of “Dance of Spirits” by a large percentage, making Guardian Gazelle an extremely viable support hero.

The Immunity to new status aliments also helps in offensive raids against Gravemakers (which are still quite common in the flank position)

Guardian Gazelle in Defense

First things first – NEVER put Gazelle in the tank position. Chances are Gazelle will die too quickly to allow her Dance of Spirits to have too much upside.

Guardian Gazelle does fit a Flank position. Having Gazelle activate her special when the tank is still alive can be VERY devastating for your opponents, especially if they are unable to quickly snipe out Gazelle.

That being said, Gazelle can be played around by bringing Snipers and Dispellers (to dispel any buffs on Gazelle, and the heal over time)

Opponents can also “maximize” the downside the Gazelle has by letting Gazelle activate Dance of Spirits followed by a quick snipe to Gazelle.

Gazelle CAN be used in the flank position in defense, but needs to be supported with strong Defensive tanks like Aegir, Black Knight or Guinevere.

Tank – C
Flank – A
Wing – B

Guardian Gazelle against Titans

Gazelle is biggest downside is being unable to synergize with other heroes buff skills, unlike Miki/Tarlak/Ranvir/Wu Kong.

This means that her attack boost is capped at 100%, and no critical chance boost.

The other titan heroes allow up to 150-170% attack increase. However they do not provide the same defensive capabilities as Guardian Gazelle does to the rest of your team.

Worth including in your line up against Dark Titans, but not against the other elements.
